Instagram Expo Floor @VidCon

Gen Z lives online; their entertainment, social lives, celebrities, and experiences are driven by the digital world. For this generation, VidCon is the must-attend experience of the year, with over 30k attendees flocking to California to not only meet their idols, but to experience what they experience, literally taking some of the same selfies.

Instagram has been the go-to platform for influencers and their fans. In late 2016, Instagram launched Stories, making this year’s goal more than “create the best photo op,” but rather, “create an environment that encourages motion capture.” Given the incredibly chaotic expo floor, it was crucial that the Instagram space feel distinctive, provide ample opportunities for content creation, and most of all, invited play.
