Vida for Starz SXSW Premiere

Vida, a new show on Starz about a gentrifying Latinx community in LA, tells the story of two estranged sisters who return home after their mother’s untimely passing to discover she had secretly married a woman, leaving a widow behind. By focusing on unique, untold stories, Starz aims to reach and empower a new, and often overlooked audiences. As proof that they’re doing something right, Vida became an official selection of the 2018 SXSW festival for it’s feminist, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ themes.

To celebrate the SXSW recognition, we created a space on lively Rainey Street inviting festival go-ers into the cross-cultural and intersectional world of Vida. And in keeping with the themes of the show, we worked with a variety of women-owned businesses and Latinx artists to bring our backyard celebration to life.
